Donn Saylor is a freelance writer whose work ranges from educational and technical writing to poetry and creative nonfiction. Being a research nerd, amateur investigator, and lifelong learner, he has a special interest in content, SEO, and copywriting. He has extensive experience and expertise in the art of content creation, having written hundreds of content pieces on everything from plumbing repair to Amish romance novels (seriously!). As a working freelance writer with over a decade of experience, he crafts dynamic, informative, creative content while maintaining both affordability for the client and rigorous ethical standards.

Coming from a diverse background in corporate, small business, and philanthropic environments, Donn has a proven track record of success and creativity. He loves to tackle information on new topics, ideas, services, and products. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies, small, family-owned businesses, and startup nonprofits striving for the greater good. Donn has a special place in his heart for working with businesses owned by women, members of the LGBT community, and other minority populations.

Donn is also a longtime poet and creative writer who especially enjoys penning essays and critical analyses. He is a regular contributing writer for Ranker and the official Barnes & Noble blog, B&N Reads. Previously, Donn was the theater critic for The Boston Examiner, as well as a regular contributor to Edge Publications, wiseGEEK, and eHow.

Donn has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst; he also attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the University of Iowa. In addition to writing, he is an actor who has appeared on stages across the country. His one-man show, Pilgrim Soul: A Life of William Haines—which he wrote and performed—received critical acclaim in its world premiere production in 2013.
